Have you ever heard of Random Acts of Kindness? Well, either way, it's doing something kind for someone, even yourself. An example can be sending someone a letter in the mail, calling a family member to see how they are doing, or making a card for your teacher. Kindness is something we all are capable of showing to each other. Treating people well and in positive ways impacts our health as well. It is good for stress and our mindset, boosting our mood. Also, creating a happy space and atmosphere for those whom you encounter only enhances your friendships, relationships and human experiences with others. You become a better person when you begin showing people kindness because you are putting others at ease and making others feel comfortable. Feel better by just being kind. It's all about you.
Something kind everyday
In what ways can you show kindness today? How do you show kindness?
Are you helpful to your teacher?
Do you continue to show kindness to those who are not?
Could you be more kind to your parents and family?
Are you kind to yourself?
How do you show kindness to your environment?
If you have pets, do you treat them kindly?
You can do it!
Others can be jealous, mean and just impossible to deal with sometimes, but having good character is continuing to show up as positive and engage with positive feelings. Do not allow another person's negativity to rub off on you because you are your own person. When you are not kind, you are only creating or adding tension and meanness, just like another person and your behavior will be no better than theirs. Make sure that you are doing your best to show kindness even to those who aren't so kind, to keep your good character and improving your mental state. You got this!
Answer these following questions to test your kindness. I think we could all improve sometimes :)
When was the last time you called someone on the phone to see how they were doing?
Are you helpful to your teacher?
Do you continue showing kindness to those who are not?
How kind are you to your parents?
Would you pick something up that someone dropped? Or would you not bother?
Are you kind to yourself?
How do you show kindness to your environment?
Are you kind to your siblings if you have any?
Are you kind to those who seem quiet and shy?
Do you treat your pets with kindness if you have any?
Here are some ways to show kindness. If you have completed this list, think of some other ways on your own. If it's positive, it will be kind.
